The weekend of November 9th is the Dallas Contemporary’s 35th anniversary. I had no idea how much they’ve contributed to the visual beauty of our in-town neighborhoods until they told me about all the murals they’ve helped create.
So we’re taking a tour of 4 of the 5 of their murals in the Design District and West Dallas. Complete with a docent from the museum to tell us about each one! We’ll see works from Shepard Fairey, JMR, Sour Grapes, and Faile. Some home-town and some international favorites in there!
Saturday November 9th, 11am – embark from the Dallas Contemporary, 1pm – return.
We’ll start and end at the Dallas Contemporary, and we’ll return to find the Tutta’s Pizza food truck at the end of our ride!
See dallascontemporary.org/alivefr35 for a full run-down of the celebration’s events, all FREE by the way, except for the Saturday night Birthday Bash – it’s going to be an epic weekend to remember.
Get up-to-the-minute details on the Facebook event.
